Managarm's Hyena

I received the miniatures from the 'Managarm the Traitoress' boxset around Christmas and I was extremely impressed with the hyena especially... It's much simpler than the bulk of Rackham's sculpts, without the usual clutter of unnecessary detail... This open space allowed me to practice blending different colours for the first time, from a rusty brown at the top through a grey-blue to an indigo on the lower legs and feet... It's generally difficult to practice these types of transitions on a large scale because the sculpt doesn't allow it...

A lot of credit for my paint job has to go to the person who painted the official Confrontation hyena (which the customer asked me to base mine on), their imaginative colour scheme is (IMO) about as close to perfect as is possible...
