I had this figure lying around for ages, I liked the sculpt but didn't really have any urge to paint it yellow so it just sat there... Then one day I was asked if I'd like to paint Lysander as a Deathwing Terminator, it was a good compromise so I decided to give it a go.

The first thing I had to do was remove all of the Imperial Fist iconography. The dremel got a real work out removing them from the shield and the right knee. The client had sent me some Forge World Deathwing icons so these were glued on to replace Fist ones. The original hammer was pretty distinctive so it was replaced with one from a close combat terminator. All simple stuff but it turned out pretty well.

I think the 'Eavy Metal Deathwing terminators look a little like Christmas ornaments, I didn't want the same look for Lysander so I went with a really dark green on the cape and a minimal amount of red. Hopefully it's still clear what he's meant to be without the bright red and green.
